Construction
- Locker columns – 1.6mm ZINTEC steel coated with 80µm powder coat. Top and bottom of each column made of lightly brushed stainless steel.
- Lockers shelves and scuff strip – 1.6mm lightly brushed stainless steel.
- Locking mechanism – twin dead lock type bolts monitored by 3 active sensors.
- Doors – double skinned "dumb" door of 1.6mm ZINTEC steel coated with 80µm powder coat. Reinforced hardened steel hinge pins with stainless steel bolt insert.
- PAYPOINT – aluminium chassis powder coated to 80µm with plated steel interior assemblies.
- PAYPOINT security – drill resistant high security locks with proximity sensors. The cash door is secured by a drill resistant lock engaging double action hardened steel securing plates and monitored by a proximity sensor.
Standards
- Built to comply with ISO9002 and BS5750 quality standards. Not fully implemented.
- Complies with current EU EMC radio interference immunity and emissions.
Operating Environment
- Designed for locations with overhead cover.
- Temperature – standard 0°C to 55°C, extended range to -30°C to 55°C with optional heaters.
Power Supply
- Local mains 110/220/240VAC or optional special AC or DC supplies.
- Equipped with a full system automatic battery back-up offering a minimum of 4 hours use. Option 24 hours.
Connections
- Stand alone units – mains only
- Local network – mains and either RS485 LAN or RS232.
- Remote network – mains and modem (see typical network schematic).
PAYPOINT configuration
- Each PAYPOINT is capable of operating a mix of locker types up to a maximum of 64.
- Management selected languages (up to a total of 13) from both western and eastern sets.
- Payment accepted by coin, token, notes, credit card, debit card, CSV card, chip card and free issue courtesy / staff cards.
- Ticketing is by single use paper magnetic ticket containing the hire and retrieval data as well as printed customer information in the language of their choice, Issued via a proprietary ISO reader / writer.
- All functions of deposit and retrieval are available to wheelchair users.
- Customer information screen - ¼ VGA full colour, high contrast, LCD. Protected behind 6mm LEXAN shield and interacting with 8 side mounted soft keys.
- Static display panel – mounted above the main screen offering a colour coded step-by-step graphic users guide. Protected behind a LEXAN shield and back-lit by a low-energy fluorescent unit.
Central Control Unit (CCU)
- The LOCKSAFE management control package runs on a standard desktop PC of 486 or above (Pentiumâ recommended).
- Capable of operating up to 1000 PAYPOINTs at multiple locations locally, nationally and internationally.
- Windowsâ (16-bit) compatible using Excelâ and familiar Windowsâ tools.
- The package offers multilingual facilities with the ability to swap between a range of standard languages.
Optional Equipment
- Colour coded end panels.
- Levelling plinths with optional stainless steel kick plates.
- Special colours or graphics for operator customisation.
- Special locker sizes.
- A Pentiumâ PC per-loaded with LOCKSAFE CCU management software package.
